5 REASON why "eating" helps you lose weight

  • First, the goal is to lose body fat, not water and muscle. Eating the right amount of food helps to protect your body from losing muscle mass. The slower you lose weight, the greater percentage of body fat loss. The faster you lose, the more you muscle you lose.

  • Second, you don't have to starve to maintain your new weight!?Eating helps maintain your metabolism at a higher rate. (Metabolism is the rate at which your body burns calories).?Because lean muscle mass takes more energy to maintain it and fat is much less active (it's like a storage unit for energy), when you preserve lean muscle mass by eating enough food, your body needs more calories to function. This means: a lean, muscular body with less fat (the new you) needs more calories to maintain it weight compared to someone who loses weight rapidly. So now, you don't have to starve to maintain your new weight and you'll be more likely to stay at your goal because you ate! Eating gives you the energy you need to lose weight successfully!

  • Thirdly, eating enough calories while you lose weight gives you "staying power". It makes sense: it's much harder to stay on a very low calorie diet long enough to lose the weight you want. Being hungry is o.k.. Feeling deprived and starved is not. And, did you know that very low calorie diets are associated with an increase in "binge" eating?

  • The fourth reason is when you eat enough food, it gives you more energy to burn off the calories through physical activity. Many dieters feel tired all the time because they are trying to eat too few calories. They don't have the energy to get through the day, much less do extra exercise to build lean body mass and burn fat. This happens especially in women who are exercising a lot and cutting calories at the same time - it multiplies the effect of too few calories.

  • This last reason is quite simple: if you don't eat enough food, you won't get the nutrition you need to stay healthy. One of the two main reasons people want to lose weight is to get healthier and to look better. People who are not eating enough simply don't look well because they aren't as healthy as they need to be. Healthy people have better looking skin, hair and teeth, and overall their higher energy level is much more attractive than someone dragging around. So fast weight loss really doesn't accomplish either the goal of looking or feeling better over the long haul.

THE SEVEN DANGEROUS

DON'T ACT THE 7 ACTIONS BELOW AFTER YOU HAVE A MEAL

Don't smoke- Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is
comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).

Don't eat fruits immediately - Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause
stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1hr before meal.

Don't drink tea - Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance
will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.

Don't loosen your belt - Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine
to be twisted & blocked.

Don't bathe - Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body
thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken
the digestive system in our stomach.

Don't walk about - People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you
will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system
to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.

Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake will not be able to digest properly.
Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.

Eve and vision : Cataract

CATARACT

A cataract is a clouding of the lens in your eye. It affects your vision. Cataracts are very common in older people. By age 80, more than half of all people in the United States either have a cataract or have had cataract surgery.

Common symptoms are

  • Blurry vision
  • Colors that seem faded
  • Glare
  • Not being able to see well at night
  • Double vision
  • Frequent prescription changes in your eye wear

Cataracts usually develop slowly. New glasses, brighter lighting, anti-glare sunglasses or magnifying lenses can help at first. Surgery is also an option. It involves removing the cloudy lens and replacing it with an artificial lens. Wearing sunglasses and a hat with a brim to block ultraviolet sunlight may help to delay cataracts.

Kids Healthy Eating

Having problem with your children body weight?? TIPS 4 PARENTS....

Parents are the most important role models for children. One in 10 children are overweight and out of shape largely due to inactivity and junk-laden diets. Teaching healthy habits at an early age is important because change becomes difficult with age.

Most people know that good nutrition is essential to staying healthy. What some people don't realize is that eating the right foods is also important for their oral health.

One in 10 children are overweight and out of shape largely due to inactivity and junk-laden diets. Healthy eating means eating a variety of foods so that your child gets the nutrients (such as protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamins, and minerals) he or she needs for normal growth. Your child can eat all types of food, as long as his or her weekly intake is balanced and varied.

A few helpful tips for Healthy Eating:

  • Make healthy foods available at home.
  • Try to have at least two fruits or vegetables with every meal.
  • Canned and frozen vegetables are often less expensive and have a long shelf-life.
  • For children over age two, choose 1% or fat free milk rather than whole or 2% milk.
  • Help your kids have healthy attitudes about food.
  • Don't force your kids to clean their plates. Let them decide when they're full.
  • Snacks for Healthy Smiles and Healthy Bodies
  • Water is the most necessary nutrient of them all - so necessary that people can't survive for more than a few days without it. More than half of the weight of your body is water - if you weigh 60 pounds, fewer than 25 of those pounds are minerals and other solid stuff. The remaining pounds are water. Learn about the importance of drinking water.
